Hi

I try to get some informations about PC's in my network, but there is no connect possible. I get a Error 10061 no connection. I have a trial version 3.50.761 corporate editon. If I make a scan over advanced IP scan, I can see all the active computers in the LAN.
Have you any informations wath I do wrong?

You've to start on each client everest with the parameter /ACCEPTBG to connect.

you can place in the registry by HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run a REG_SZ named EVEREST with value:

\\server\share\everest.exe /ACCEBTBG /SILENT

You can combain get a report and the /ACCEBTPG parameter.

greets Mav

You don't have to add a Registry entry on each PC, but instead you can run EVEREST from the NT logon script with the same command-line.

That's possible of course. As long as the remote computer(s) is/are running EVEREST Corporate Edition with incoming connections accepted.

Hello

If I install Everest software on Clients PC it works like your Informations. But wenn I understod the Mail of Maverick rigth, then it's also a workaround to install everest on a server und start the software at this way from the clients registry? it means i have not to install everest on every client PC?

thx for your informations

Either way, you don't need to install anything on the client computers, as long as those computers log into your NT domain.

Since when all systems log into the NT domain, then you can launch EVEREST from a central location from the central users logon script of the domain.

Hello

There some other questions confused.gif

Now I have involved \\server\share\everest.exe /ACCEBTBG /SILENT to the Registry (one test on Win2000 professionel, a other one on WinXP) and it works well. But alleways I start the PC of a Client, Everest starts with his Prg screen, in other words it is not possibel to start Everest in behind. I have activate under Preferences/General only "minimie to systemtry" but no effect. minimize to taskbar works well !?

a other problem is that I have to switch manualy all time to accept incomming remote connections.

Have you maby any idea how I can solfe this to poblems?

thx for your inforamtions,

regards,
bladi

start EVEREST from \\server\share\

Then click on file-preferences-general

then deactivate "Display EVEREST splash screen at startup"

With regards Harr(y)

"switching manually":
It's a security feature... smile.gif

Hello Harr(y)

I have done this befor I post my last trade here... It means I have only a activation tick under preferences/general/hide main window (Minimize to System Tray) but everest shows allways the full program screen anyway mad.gif
to bad that there is no issue to config the access incomming remote connection as default. at this way I have to call everytime my clients to accept my remot to geht e.g. only a report over theyer PC as systemadministrator.

regards,
bladi

Hello everybody
I have now a real working Everest Tial version for my test's. My path string is \\server\share\everest.exe /ACCEPTBG . Now Everest works in waiting status in behind on my test remote PC and I can get the informations I need... great! I was installing EVEREST on my Laptop and move the whole installfolder to \\server\share, so I refer to this path like Maverick's informations.

The next step I do is install a MySQL DB and...... buy this very helpfully tool ico_respect.gif

thx for your help
