Hi,

I am using everest since the early time of this software and even when its name was Aida. I have to say that over the years i was an I am very impressed by the quality of this software. Now, I am using it with a very new computer that I have just built. MB asus P7P55D dlx + i860 + 8GB (4x2GB) crucial 1333 DDR3 CL9 + Gigabyte OC GTX285 2GB. I was wondering if it is possible to control the fans connected to this MB directly by everest and not by the bios Qfan function ? I am asking this because I have observed that Speedfan 4.40 beta 5 is really not behaving very well on this motherboard.

Again many thanks for this fantastic software

EVEREST doesn't implement any kind of fan control feature.

why do you want to use speedfan or everest to control the fan speed? I think it's more convenient to use the bios. no programs are running so less memory and cpu power are used and is more reliable. what if speedfan crashed and you aren't in front of the computer?

Not all BIOS supports fan control, and even when it does support it, it may be only for the CPU fan.

Having a software control for fans could be useful, but it's not our priority. We need to focus more on improving diagnostic capabilities, and implement more benchmarks.
