I wanted to try out Everest, but it freezes my laptop every time I start it at looking for hardware. I've tested it with the newest version 5.30.1924 with the same result. I'm using windows 7 professional 64bit.

Can you please check what's the last message EVEREST displays on its splash screen before it locks up?

Thanks,

It shows (in german) "Suche PCI Geräte". It seems to look for PCI devices. And then - everything freezes. I have to do a hard power off (power button 4 sec).

Thank you. Do you know what processor and chipset does your notebook have?

Ok, I think with version 5.30.1932 it seems the bug is gone. I tried several time to to start Everest and it didn't hang.
