You can find the answer in the EVEREST FAQ at:

http://www.lavalys.c...ang=en&pageid=5

Q#18: What does the "Aux" temperature shown on the Computer / Sensor page mean?

A#18: There is no standard for sensor registers layout, so the "Aux" temperature could show the temperature of the CPU or the motherboard, or might be a non-connected wire of the sensor chip, and so it could show a bogus value.

82C is a bogus reading, you can ignore that.

Hi,

in my case it's the cpu temperatur! I have the DFI LanParty Expert. And the cpu temp is the PWMIC temp. wink.gif

Could you build in an option to specify a sensor, if Everest does not order them right please? Thanks alot biggrin.gif

What the aux is just like auxilary(power)so if i don't have it wrong, then i would say its your powersupply(you know that thing you connect and makes your computer work)In about an our or so ill know for sure,i've got an old powerunit i'll dismantle it and if i find a sensor, you'll the first to know.!

Hi!

My brand new configuration is freezing when I run softwares with wich are useing hi graphical sources. Its absolutly sure that there is problem with the cooling. I have bought new cooler for the VGA, CPU, HDD and all temperatures are low now exept the AUX, witch is 48C. So I think it is connected to something, and this temperature is real. But I have no idea. I use now a big vent for the whole machine now, but I cant use it forever, it is my grandma's ventilator. I have planed a system cooler with tubes to the incriminated chip, but wich one is that...? Any ideas?

In the case 48C is the highest temperature of your system, then you have nothing to worry about. 48C is absolutely normal for any components (GPU, HDD, motherboard, CPU).

IMHO what you should do is try running a memory diagnostics like MemTest86+ and GoldMemory (best is to run both of them), and see if your memory is fine.

If it's not the memory, then it could be your PSU (Power Supply Unit).

Hey.

I've just built a new computer. It's built in a small case with a mini-atx motherboard and with no airflow (there's no room for that).

My temperatures are usually around this when the i check EVEREST randomly:

Motherboard: ~50°C
CPU: ~40°C
Harddisk: ~50°C
&
Aux: ~65°C

Is this for sure a bongus reading, as I expect?

Thanks in advance.

On my unit the Aux is the CPU temp. My Aux temp was hovering around 60c so I disconnected the CPU fan and watched it climb higher. I hooked the fan back up and down came the fan. I spead up the fan and it dropped even faster.

i don't have an aux temp, but i do have three temperatures that are just called temperature 1, temperature 2, temperature 3.
my mobo temp is 40C
CPU: 38C
CPU core 1: 35C
CPU core 2: 35C
Temp 1: 23C
Temp 2: 19C
Temp 3: 19C - have seen these three reach around 30 as well

just wondering if anyone can help shed any light on whether these 3 random temps are bogus or not? and if not what do they relate to...(i have an asus p5n32-e sli motherboard - i think these temps may be from extra temp sensors on the mobo but some clarification would be great

Cheers smile.gif

Temp#1..#3 are not random/bogus temperatures, but they're real. The represent OPT1..OPT3 temperatures that should be displayed by Asus PC Probe II either. Or, you can see them in the BIOS Setup too.

Try Asus PC Probe II, maybe it will show you all temperatures just like EVEREST does wink.gif
