ASUS P5KC AiLifestyle Series

Please upgrade to the latest beta version of EVEREST Ultimate Edition available at:

http://www.lavalys.c...cw7lkjnx2dh.zip

After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade.

That will fix the temperature readings.

Make sure to upgrade to the latest beta version of EVEREST Ultimate Edition available at:

http://www.lavalys.c...w2adlsk7nqx.zip

After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade.

That should fix the temperature labelling issue. Let me know how it works.

I have the same problem as jeroenie. The P5B motherboard. => aux 122°C

Downloaded allready the program and installed it on the computer. Shows me a lot of detailed accurate information, but now I don't know where I should find the real Aux temperature. (not that great of a computerwizz)

Greetings
Didier

Aux temperature is a bogus value on Asus P5B boards, hence the latest beta has already removed that from the Computer / Sensor page. So you don't have to worry about it anymore wink.gif

I've upgraded to the latest version (everestultimate_build_1240_w1xefk4jnct),
and on my DFI Blood Iron:

AUX temp is reading the CPU (overall, not core temps) and CPU temp is reading Chipset. Looks like on this board Aux is supposed to represent the chipset.
I've verified by comparing Everest temps to Speedfan, and loading/unloading both e6750 cores to 100%.

Is there an easy way to reverse what sensors they are reading from?

Yes, we can adjust the sensor routines for your motherboard, but first please upgrade to the very latest beta version of EVEREST Ultimate Edition available at:

http://www.lavalys.c...vf0loxk3wdn.zip

After upgrading to this new version, make sure to restart Windows to finalize the upgrade.

In the case the temperature labelling is still not right, then please copy-paste the full content of the Motherboard / Motherboard page of EVEREST into this topic. That information will enable us to add support for your motherboard.

Thanks,
Fiery

If you want to change the locations which the sensors read from, that is ok. I did not realize one could configure the temperature labels in the vista sidebar for XP, however I have done so and it makes more sense to me.

I'm curious about my Aux temp too. If I tell what kind of motherboard I have, would I be able to find out where my aux temp sensor is located?

My motherboard is an Asus M2N-SLI.

Hi,

My motherboard is a MachSpeed MK8-939A and I'm using version 2.20.405 of everest. On the Sensor
page I get an Aux temperature reading can you tell me what it means for my motherboard?

Also the CPU temperature appears and dissapears!!! Most of the time it is not showing a temp for the
CPU but once in a while for few seconds, a new line showing the CPU temperature appears. Would you
know how can I fix that.

Below I attached the information from the motherboard/motherboard screen ( I removed all hex code
at the end, let me know if I should include it here). But the attached file has the complete report

My motherboard is an Asus M2N-SLI.

M2N-SLI has no Aux sensor. The Aux temperature you can see there is actually the CPU temperature. We've already fixed that in recent EVEREST versions, so I guess you're using an old EVEREST version (probably EVEREST v3.xx)

For those that have the Acer Aspire E380 with the MCP61M-AM motherboard, the Aux temp is for the RAM.
Remember, the only stupid question is the one you didn't ask!

Asus Barebones V2-M3M8200
AMD Phenom X3 8650
G.Skill 2x1024 DDR2 1066
MSI GeForce 9600 GT OC
Antec Earthwatts 430watt PSU (80+ efficiency)

In my monitoring, there is: MCP, AUX, GPU (not sure if it's monitoring the onboard GF8200 or the GF9600 GT OC), and standard others, HDD, CPU 1/2/3, Mobo.
The mobo temp is usually 5-10 less than Aux & GPU.

GPU & Aux pretty much keep same temps, and the MCP can rocket up to the 70's. I've noticed when I point a desk fan into my case, toward the PSU, the MCP temp falls. If I point the fan more towards the chipset & CPU, of course the CPU falls, but so does the GPU & Aux.

I am pretty sure that the MCP is the PSU temp, and Aux is chipset temp...no?

Attached image shows nominal temps for afew mins, then a program called Video Card Stability Test, and I ran its benchmark. It ran for about 3 mins, which is the spike in temps & CPU usage. Then when it ended, spike dip in CPU usage, it still was using lots of CPU cycles, alil bit more than the benchmark, and raised the CPU temp more too & raised Aux temp some.

Forgot to say, 5sec intervals on graph & latest beta version I know of (4.60 1582), and attached is my Report.txt
